Q. We already have a touch screen but it does not work with our new clinical system, can we purchase your software only?
A. Yes we can install our software onto your touch screen. We charge £249 for the first years support and initial installation. After that the annual support is £150. Prices exclude VAT.
Q. My surgery has multiple patient waiting areas, can an automated system cope?
A.Yes, the touch screen software will direct the patient automatically to the correct waiting area for their appointment. To enable this function the specific waiting area for each consultation room needs to be set up.
Q. What happens if the patient enters the wrong details?
A. The patient is given the option to retry or is directed to reception.
Q. What happens if the patient reports to reception?
A. No change, patients can still be booked in by a receptionist.
Q. What happens if a patient has multiple appointments?
A. The touch screen software lets you decide during the configuration phase: the system can either book the patient in for all their appointments, their first appointment only or can direct them to reception.
Q. What happens if there is more than one patient with the same date of birth and gender and surname (yes it does happen!)
A. The patient will be asked to report to reception, the practice can set additional parameters such as the first letter of the patient surname to help avoid this happening.
Q. How much power does the screen consume?
A. An incredibly tiny amount! In our lab where the screens are tested and metered we have found they use less than 50 watts. We calculate the running cost is approximately 6p per day which is £15.65 per annum. Figures include VAT and are based on surgery opening times of 8am-6pm weekdays and electricity costing 12.04p per kWh.
Q. We need multiple screens because we see so many patients. Does your system support this?
A. Yes, you can install as many screens as you need.
Q. How do I clean the touch screen?
A. Use a standard PC cleaning cloth and wipe the screen and case. Please do not use water or cleaning chemicals.
Q. Can the touch screen provide any statistics?
A. Yes the touch screen software keeps a count of the number of successful book-ins.
Q. Do I have to have the support package?
A. No - you have the choice. The touch screen is very reliable and it comes with a one year warranty for parts and labour. If a failure occurs within the first year we will ask you to return the screen to us, we will send you the packaging. You will not be charged for the repair but you will be charged for the transportation costs. Note that you will be without your touch screen for the duration of the repair. Should a failure occur outside the warranty period you will be charged the full cost of the repair, replacement parts and transportation and will be without your touch screen for the duration of the repair.

A. The wall mounted touch screen: Height 540mm x width 435mm x depth 75mm.
The desktop touch screen: Height 205mm (at rear - 90mm at front) x width 450mm x depth 420mm
