About Us
The company was founded by Pete Birch and Jon Witte and was incorporated on the 19th July 2000. Both Pete and Jon were RAF Fighter Pilots who were looking for a new challenge after their military service ended. Founding and running your own business may not appear as exciting as flying a multi million jet aircraft but everybody has to grow up some day!
We are often asked about our company name: The term "Wiggly Amps" is often used in the RAF as a colloquial description of the advanced electronics and software seen in today's aircraft. It was felt that the name "Wiggly Amps" succinctly described the abilities and aims of the new company as well as providing a link with our past. But perhaps most importantly the name is memorable and hopefully it will bring a smile to your face.
